FIVE MORE PEARLS

FIVE MORE

OF

WISDOM

1. Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

2. If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments.

3. Always remember, you are unique --- just like everyone else!

4. If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

5. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

  5. Not strictly true to say you can't change horses in mid-stream. I refer the right honourable gentleman to the horse seller in Dr Faustus whose recent purchase resulted in a nifty switch for, I think, a bale of straw during an aquatic adventure.

  6. "One does not moisten a stamp with Niagara Falls" - not mine, but useful... and then there's "He digs deepest, who deepest digs..."

(So if you're going to steal your neighbour's milk and newspaper, that's the time to do it).
