TWITTERPATED!

I said the same as these guys...

I said, "Twitter?!" --- after I said, "What's Twitter?" --- "It's not going to happen to me!"

But now, thanks to my friend Irascian, it HAS!

Apart from the aforementioned Irascian, are there any other twitterers among my blog readers?

  1. I'm on Twitter as EternalScribe.

Depending on my days at work or my mood, I do chatter a lot sometimes.

  4. Hello to fellow Twitterers; and EUDORA: you can still follow any interesting tweats (should I manage any) on the side-bar to my blog - about half-way down...

  5. No, I will not twitter! I spend (waste) enough time sitting in front of the computer on messenger, facebook, blogs etc...!
And if I ever do succomb, you have my full permission to remind me of this oath!
cediabop: a vacuous promise, such as new year's resolutions or giving up things for Lent, destined to be broken sooner rather than later!

  7. Sorry, I just have to do this one - it's just a gift...
YINGSBIL : A small rodent that is returned to the pet shop from which it was bought with such great enthusiasm just a month ago on the grounds that 'It's too fierce and can't be tamed'. The real reason being, of course, that Mum won't clean it out anymore.

  8. I'm with Suzanne - I've got too many distractions as it is. I'd rather spend a little time Emailing friends.
And I also suspect you might be using it as an excuse to renege on your promise to give us blokes in boxers.
enesse: an excess of unnecessary activities which keep you doing what you need to be getting on with.

  9. Yes, BOLL, I ought to have marked the passing of John Mortimer and Patrick McGoohan... But I'm really under the cosh: preparing for my trip to New York on Tuesday (the preparation for the Snow White and the Severn Dwarfs interview is considerable) and - as has happened in the past - blogging has become an anxiety rather than a pleasure...

With no work in prospect for the next few months and various hospital engagements pending, I may have to take a break...

  10. LISAH - Yep, you're right - only good thing about Twitter (over blogs) is that you can ONLY write messages that are no more than 140 characters-long!!

BOLL - Yes, many yingsbils have, doubtless, been returned over the last two weeks...

  12. JEN - Dalipop: brilliant! But are you sure it's not a fizzy drink in a surrealist bottle...?

BTW - the Severn Dwarfs to whom I referred in an earlier comment obviously come from Gloucestershire!

  14. It appears that as I don't 'Twitter', I have to tick the box to make the annoying pop-up Twitter sign-in box disappear, so that I can read your blogThen when that box vanishes, all the links and menus on the left side of your blog vanish too!
Please... sort out this twitter thing so we who do not twitter can still can read your blog!

  15. Sorry, JUNE, don't know why it did that: a couple of friends have registered the same complaint, while others (who are not on Twitter) have had no such difficulty...

Anyway, I've removed the link to Twitter from the blog which, hopefully, will solve the problem...
