Sorry, Sharon, I was joshing! It isn't really David! He does the parrot in the cage a bit further down the Embankment! ;)
Seriously, I saw the guy get ready and sits under the box that forms the table - don't recall if there were cushions or not - it was pretty ad hoc as, obviously, it all has to be easily transportable. A weird idea but a real novelty amongst the ranks of 'living statues' that usually work that space.

Looks more like something you would expect to see in a magic show.
What does he do? Lick you when you donate, or wag his tail?
May be it's the stray who lost the dog collar a few blogs back?
SharonM - Magic show! You got it! Well done! But you didn't recognise David?
Suzanne - He barks! If you don't donate, he gets out of his carrying case, runs after you and pees up your leg!
Jen - Hadn't thought of that but that could very well be the case. Somebody has since claimed the collar - I assumed it was the vicar...
No, I didn't. I hope there was room under there for a seat or at least some comfy cushions!
Did anyone actually put money in the bowl?

Is it a dead parrot nailed to its perch and doing a bit of pining or is it a live one?
A Norwegian Blue, obviously!
