David and I have been together for twenty years today -- or, ehem,
tonight...As that makes it our 'China' Anniversary, we'll very probably celebrate with a Take-away: crispy seaweed, sesame prawn toast, spring rolls, sweet-and-sour pork, beef in black bean sauce, rice and lots of prawn crackers!
Hearty congratulations to you both!
ReplyDeleteSounds a yummy way of celebrating.
Isn't it amazing how long someone will put up with you when they love you? Blanca and I have been together ALMOST 20 years, and married for 18! I lift a beer to you both! La Chaim, Cheers and Salud!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both!!! 20 years is a long, long, long time! Longer than I have known Mandy!! Pity we can't join you for that Chinese - sounds great - but sometimes a couple just need to celebrate on their own!! Maybe next time?
ReplyDeleteCongrats and many more!
ReplyDeleteThanks folks! I'd say, Rob, that twenty years is a "long time" rather than a "long, long, long time", but there again, as Bill says.... ;)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm raising my glass for the next 20 years.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Brian & David! 20 years is an achievement indeed. And a très bon appétit for this evening.
ReplyDeleteAnother twenty? I hope you'll remember come 2030, Ian, because I'll be almost 81 and David 79.5 and I doubt we'll know what day it is, let alone what year!
ReplyDeleteI think you've seen my profile picture on Facebook, it's really amazing, but David and I look like we could be brothers...
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the two of you had a terrific celebration, and although, as you said yourself, you may be too senile to recognize one another- may you have another 20 great years!
Happy anniversary! And many more years of happiness!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, both! (but why did we only get a picture of David???)
ReplyDeleteI heartily approve your interpretation of "China" anniversary! Enjoy!!!
Congrats Mr B and Mr D. H and I are in our 26th married year now - we celebrated the 25th by getting married again - in Tenerife which was nice and warm. There were plenty of takeaways in evidence there as well !
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and David. I hope you had a wonderful celebration, which, judging from the photo, was celebrated in style. And a take-away sounds a lot better than raising a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteThere's certainly no harm in looking forward to the next twenty years.
On behalf of Him and Me: thanks for all the lovely greetings! The take-away was well up to standard and also featured (not on my advertised menu) crispy duck pancakes! Excellent! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!, Have a nice day of celebrations!!
