See the land, her Easter keeping,
Rises as her Maker rose.
Seeds, so long in darkness sleeping,
Burst at last from winter snows.
Earth with heaven above rejoices;
Fields and gardens hail the spring;
Shaughs and woodlands ring with voices,
While the wild birds build and sing.
You, to whom your Maker granted
Powers to those sweet birds unknown,
Use the craft by God implanted;
Use the reason not your own.
Here, while heaven and earth rejoices,
Each his Easter tribute bring-
Work of fingers, chant of voices,
Like the birds who build and sing.

ReplyDeleteI wish you and David, Buttons et al a Happy Easter - hope you've got some yummy eggs to look forward to.
And Passover Week greetings to you, Sharon. Chag Sameach!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Mr B and to D also.
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Easter to you Brian :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! Although, it's sort of a memorial event because my step-grandad who designed the Dove logo passed away last year, and the grandad whose related to Norman Thelwell.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently spending 4 days at Carden Park Hotel in Chester. Very lovely hotel and I'm enjoying the activities like crazy golf (which I'm average at).
Have a happy "Pascua Florida" (we begin the easter next sunday).
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Boll, Andy and Steven.
