SNOWFALL

Going through some books in my collection that haven't been accessible (and therefore not perused) for several years, I came across a delightful little Christmas treasure...

Out from between the pages of a signed copy of Raymond Briggs sombre picture book, When the Wind Blows, fluttered this greeting featuring his happiest and most beloved character...

  1. I cannot show this to the twins after you said how casually you'd forgotten you had it. It would be preserved behind glass in our house ! I always feel sorry for Raymond Briggs who has spent his life trying to tell people life is not a bed of roses but all they see is the pink and fluffy bits of his work !

  2. That's a keepsake!

I also feel that way about Briggs' work as well, people need to see him as a terrific author of graphic novels than just simply telling cute stories like The Snowman.
