PIG DEAL

The Sun newspaper has long been noted for its high standards of taste and decency: a fact endorsed by Tuesday's front-page headline...

I was watching The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, which always has a good play on words, and when it came to the item on swine flu they headlined it: Snoutbreak!

You mean people actually read the Sun - I thought it's sole purpose was as emergency loo paper.

Having said that, I'd quite liked to have got it for the Gavin & Stacy DVD - I only started watching it recently and it's got some cracking dialogue and characters.

GOOD DOG - That is funny! As is this week's Private Eye cover, but I won't spoil it!

LISAH - Intriguing isn't it? People buying newspapers (whether the Sun or The Times) just to get the free DVDs...

On the other hand, they really should buy them from the shops so as not to rob those concerned of any well-earned (though probably very small) royalties.

I wish I'd known about the G & S DVDs from the Sun. I would've faced the wrath of Wrob to get those - it's a brilliant series which I've followed since the second showing of the first one (if you see what i mean). I would love to send them over to my son in the US as I don't think they get them there... looking forward to the new series, no. 3.

And for this you'd read the Sun?
