BLOGGING OFF!

Well I've showed 'em cos I've gone back to the first page and started again ! Its nice to know that even at the birth of the computer age, someone has taken the time to invent an intellectual hierarchy with regards to telling us how we should be reading. It can only properly be done from a printed page and not from a screen. The book, like the LP, is only a source of information for me. I don't lament its passing on the grounds of aesthetics.I don't think I'll be joining the switch off tomorrow anymore than I'll be leaving my clothes at home on the grounds to prove I can live without them ! It wouldn't make the world a better place ! At a time when so much needs to be improved and ,this is a pointless activity.

ah. i found your blog off amazon. usually i avoid analysis of books before i read them, but i was glad i watched the documentary before starting to read LOTR. it's so sifferent from the hobbit, and the observations and comment made by all the people in the documentary have been quite insightful and helpful. cheers and best, amy
