"GO WEST, YOUNG MAN!"

The things they'll do at British Rail, these days, to get custom...

Or maybe it's a Virgin initiative...

And just how close to the edge were you standing when you took the photo?

Not guilty! This is NOT one of my photos - I would never have taken a picture of so questionable an item... ;-)

I want to know how this post is up and has two comments before the day its dated for has even started ! The sign reminds me of the old Rodney Marsh joke about playing for England. Sir Alf Ramsey allegedly said to him "I'll give you the first 45 son but if you don't make an impression, I'll pull you off at half time" RM replied "OK, that's sounds good. At Man City we only got an orange !" Doh!

Of course St Brian - it must have just kind have fallen into your lap.

Damn - you've just reminded me that I forgot to tape Dr Who! Oh well, I'm sure it will be repeated.

Must be one of those TARDIS type things...

Thanks for the Rodney Marsh joke - very funny, though I didn't understand what they did with the orange...

See! I reminded LisaH about having missed Dr Who before I even posted the word TARDIS! SPOOOOOKY!!

And I'm just heading back to yesterday to watch it.

Dr Who is responsible for a lot of things. I was out and about yesterday, this and that and then heading into Brussels for the rest of the day and the night...
I drove home before going into Brussels just so I could set the video for the Doctor! I'm now going to watch it...

why not just get ntl and watch it on their replay system sometime afterwards at your leisure ? I have that and I don't even watch Dr Who ! I thought it got a little too silly...

I feel like I'm missing out. I've never been sucked off on a railway platform. Maybe I'm not standing on the right platform. But is it worth going all the way to Penrith just for that?

Brian Sibley said...

QENNY - I'm sure Penrith offers many other enticements to the adventurous traveller...

I wonder what station that was posted on, after all you wouldn't wanna risk being sucked off at Crewe but wouldn't mind say Chelsea?
I am off to look around my local station...

Miss DEADLINE - 'Penrith', darling - like it says on the signboard in the background! Good luck at your local...

Very saucy! Yet a concept I feel will go over big here in America as well.

Well done for finding this, Brian!

Hope all is well.

BILL - Nice of you to stop by... Yes, well, a better title would have been 'Way Out West'!
