I SOOO agree with you Brian. I think that living in a foreign language makes me even more sensitive to blunders like that. For instance: "John spoke to you and I about that" Take "you" out of the equation and you get "John spoke to I about that" (grrr!) But my real bugbear is the split infinitive put into fashion by Star Trek...
