As Peter Jackson’s official biographer, I am constantly being asked (albeit by people who don’t understand these things), “What’s Peter doing next?”
“Directing Lovely Bones,” I dutifully reply, “producing The Dam Busters and NOT making The Hobbit.”
But now, it seems, I will possibly have to update my response since my good friend Mike Crowl in New Zealand (well he did read my book on PJ and seemed to like it!) reveals that Jackson is angling to spend a term or two at Hogwarts and is also thinking of rummaging through the jewel-case for that Other Ring of Power.
Rather than steal Mike’s thunder, I’ll leave you to read the full story on Mike Crowl’s Random Notes.
It’s not April 1st already, is it…?

He's directing The Lovely Bones?! How did I not know that? Oh, I'm out of the loop!
As for your 'friend' Mike Crowl's story... hmmm... interesting... Is it April 1st? Because, if so, I think I might have missed something. A lot fo something.
I think you've been had! But Mr Crowl's piece is very funny. See also today's news on teh BBC

Maybe not 'had' (see Wednesday's post) but, yes, truth is stranger (though not necessarily funnier) than fiction!
I know Christian Rivers who's Directing The Dambusters,he came over to my house when they were making The Frighteners,he stayed over here with my good friend Richard Dolan who worked at WETA on the FX for The Frighteners, Christian is a good bloke who's been working for Peter for a while now. We all cheered when we seen his cameo in The Return of the King when he's up there guarding the beacon at Minas Tirith. :)
There's an excellent picture in the book of Christian (who is sweet, highly talented man) sitting in the cockpit of a Lancaster bomber in preparation for THE DAM BUSTERS...
I seen a pic online a few months ago when it was announced,I wonder if it's the same one !?
