PAPER-MATES

Usually with pen-top-creatures, you can see quite clearly that they sitting, as it were, on top of the pen...

These pens (purchased in my local pharmacy, which, in itself, is pretty disturbing) rather embarrassingly appear to be part of - or (how can I put it?) an 'extension' of - the bears themselves...

Hmmmm... No wonder they are trying to cover their eyes!

I never could understand how people can write with those things perched on top of their pens/pencils. As for the "fur" (I think we are to presume it's fur...) coming all the way down to the tip, that is just too weird.

Can't see why they would be covering their eyes Mr B. Surely they would be getting ready for a night out on the town in the secure knowledge of it being a success."Is that a furry biro in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me..."

Thanks for giving me a laugh first thing in the morning, Brian - though I'm full of sympathy for the little (or not so little) bears.
Might it not be possible to extract them from their appendages, so to speak, and turn them into normal toy bears?
I shouldn't imagine Buttons would feel comfortable sitting beside them otherwise.

I LOVE the teddies - just the sort of thing I'd have, but they don't sell those here. The teddies are so cute. Can you change the pen when it runs out ????? They are most definitely on my IWOOT list!

SUE - I'm not quite sure what you do when the pens... er... dry up...

BUT, as they are now on your 'I Want One Of Those' list, I'll try and get you one - although I do seriously wonder whether an Orthodox country like Greece will permit the importation of such scurrilous items!

BTW they do cats as well - would you rather have a rampant Ted or a Tom?

SUE - PS: Just realised, when the ink fails you just pep them up again with a dose of viagra!

What made it even funnier for me was the sudden memory that we used to call these things "pen poppers". And certainly, those bears have been hitting the poppers if they're able to ... well, I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this.
